Civil Engineer

Background
Civil engineers design, build, and maintain the infrastructure we use every day, like roads, bridges, buildings, and water systems. They work on projects from the planning stage through to completion, using maths and science to solve practical problems. Civil engineers might spend time in offices designing structures using computer software, or on construction sites checking that work is being done safely and correctly.
