Background
Psychotherapists help people work through emotional, mental health, and behavioural difficulties by talking with them in a confidential setting. They use different therapeutic techniques to help clients understand their feelings, develop coping strategies, and make positive changes in their lives. Most psychotherapists specialise in particular approaches, such as cognitive behavioural therapy or counselling, and work with individuals, families, or groups.
