Background
Counsellors help people work through personal, emotional, or psychological difficulties by listening carefully and offering support. They work with clients one-on-one or in groups to help them understand their problems better and find ways to cope or make positive changes. Counsellors might work in schools, hospitals, workplaces, or private practice, supporting people dealing with stress, relationships, grief, or mental health challenges.
