Emergency Physician

Background
Emergency physicians work in hospital emergency departments, treating patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions. They assess patients quickly, diagnose problems, perform procedures like stitching wounds or setting broken bones, and decide whether patients need hospital admission or can go home. Every shift brings different cases—from heart attacks and severe injuries to poisoning and allergic reactions—so the work is fast-paced and unpredictable.
