Optometrists are eye care professionals who test people's vision and prescribe glasses or contact lenses to help them see clearly. They examine eyes for signs of disease, perform eye tests, and give advice about eye health and protecting your sight. Most of their day involves seeing patients, using specialist equipment to check vision, and discussing treatment options.
