Background
A lecturer in higher education teaches university or college students, usually in a specific subject area. They prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, and practical classes; mark student work and provide feedback; and conduct research in their field. Lecturers also contribute to curriculum development and may supervise student projects or dissertations.
