Background
A hostess greets guests as they arrive at a restaurant, bar, or event venue and manages the seating arrangements. You'll check reservations, maintain the waiting list, seat customers at appropriate tables, and coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. You're often the first point of contact, so you help create a welcoming atmosphere and handle customer inquiries or complaints.
