Exploration geologists search for valuable mineral deposits and natural resources like gold, copper, and oil beneath the Earth's surface. They spend time in the field examining rock formations, collecting samples, and using specialized equipment to map underground geology. They also analyze data in offices and laboratories to determine where companies should drill or mine.
