Background
Communications engineers design, build, and maintain the systems that allow people and devices to send information to each other over distances. They work with networks, cables, wireless signals, and software to make sure phone calls, internet data, and broadcasts reach their destinations reliably. Their day-to-day work involves testing equipment, solving technical problems, and planning new communication systems.
