Clinical Molecular Geneticist

Background
Clinical molecular geneticists analyse DNA and genes to diagnose genetic diseases and help patients understand their health risks. They work in laboratories using specialised equipment to examine genetic material from blood or tissue samples, then interpret the results to help doctors make treatment decisions. This role combines laboratory work with patient care, as geneticists often explain complex genetic information to patients and their families.
