Doula

Background
A doula is a trained birth companion who provides physical, emotional, and informational support to pregnant people and their families during labour, birth, and the early postpartum period. Doulas work alongside midwives and doctors to help people feel more confident and comfortable during childbirth. They do not deliver babies or provide medical care, but instead focus on comfort measures, advocacy, and continuous presence.
