Fire Engineer

Fire engineers design, develop, and test systems and equipment that prevent fires, detect them early, and help people escape safely. They work on things like fire suppression systems, alarm systems, and building safety features. They might work in offices designing systems, in laboratories testing equipment, or on building sites installing and checking fire safety equipment.
