Background
Anesthesiologists are doctors who specialize in managing pain and keeping patients safe during surgery and other medical procedures. They give patients anesthesia (medication that makes them unconscious or numb), monitor their vital signs like heart rate and breathing throughout the procedure, and manage any complications that arise. They work closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure patients have a smooth operation and recovery.
